Dr Sarah Shoffstall-Cone
Sarah Shoffstall-Cone, DDS, MPH received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University in 2005, her Master of Public Health degree from A. T. Still University in 2010, and in 2018, she completed a residency in Dental Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 2020, she earned her Board Certification in Dental Public Health. Upon graduation from dental school Sarah moved to Bethel, AK to work for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC). During her time at YKHC she served as a staff dentist, deputy dental director and acting dental director. In 2009, Sarah moved to Anchorage, AK to work as the Clinical Site Director for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. In 2020, she assumed the role of interim director of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Department of Oral Health Promotion and the Ilisagvik College Alaska Dental Therapy Educational Program. Sarah is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service. Sarah’s entire career has been spent with Dental Health Aide Therapists (DHATs) as a part of her dental team. She has been a coworker, supervisor and instructor of DHATs. Sarah is also actively involved in providing care to rural communities.
