About This Course
Gingivitis, which is prevalent in a large proportion of the child and adult populations, is an inflammatory lesion of the gingival tissues, which usually precedes periodontitis. It has been shown to be reversible and, although progression is not predictable, the prevention of gingivitis, in the individual patient or in populations, is still the first step toward preventing periodontitis.
