Dr Susanne Surman-Lee BSc. PhD C.Biol., FRSB, FRSPH., FIHEEM, FWMSoc, MPWTAG

Dr Surman-Lee is a State Registered Consultant Clinical Scientist (Public Health Microbiologist) and Co-owner of Leegionella Ltd.; an independent public health consultancy specializing in the detection and prevention of waterborne disease.  Susanne has been involved in the development of standards and guidelines at national and international level, including as chair of the panel which developed BS 8680 Water Quality; Water Safety Plans Code of Practice and also led the European Society from Clinical Microbiology (ESCMID) Study Group for Legionella Infections (ESGLI) working group which has produced guidance for safe building management, including healthcare, during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also the Chair of the RSPH Water Special Interest Group and Programme Director for the RSP Water Webinar Series.
