Nabeel Ilyas

Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry

Nabeel Ilyas is a Consultant in paediatric dentistry at Birmingham Community HealthCare NHS trust; mainly based at Birmingham dental hospital. Nabeel graduated from King's College London in 2015. Following a year in general practice in the Berkshire deanery, he completed Oral and Maxillofacial training in Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and further training in Bristol Dental Hospital in both paediatric and restorative dentistry. Nabeel completed his specialist training at King's College Hospital and was successfully awarded an MSc with distinction in paediatric dentistry from King's College London. Nabeel has gained a wide range of experience in managing children with trauma and was awarded first place in the prestigious Dental Trauma UK case report prize in 2021. He has published in multiple national and international journals. His interests include acute and long-term trauma management, managing anxious children and the use of inhalation sedation.
